Today I will be writing on the Lasik Surgery procedure as a result of the many requests and questions about the procedure from alot of my patients all across the globe.
Lasik Surgery, also known as Refractive surgery is a popular procedure many Healthcare travelers opt for in the course of their traveling. The procedure is usually preferred by patients who are tired of wearing their recommended glasses due to a number of reasons like sports, traveling, and the likes. The procedure corrects these major vision problems
1. Nearsightedness
2. Far Sightedness
3. Astigmatism
How does it work?
Lasik surgery uses a laser beam for the correction to be made. A thin flap in the cornea is created using either a microkeratome blade or a femtosecond laser. The surgeon folds back the flap, then removes some corneal tissue underneath using an excimer laser. The flap is then laid back in place, covering the area where the corneal tissue was removed.
You need to be sure that your Laser doctor is well experienced with what he does. @ Medicom Global Healthcare Solutions Ltd (MGHC) we have well-trained doctors from different countries of the world we can link you up with. Your LASIK surgeon will examine your eyes to determine their health, what kind of vision correction you need, and how much laser ablation (corneal tissue removal) is required.
Ukraine is a popular tourist destination for Lasik eye surgery procedures and the reason for this is not far-fetched. Ukraine as an Eastern European country has an affordable healthcare system without compromising the quality and standard of healthcare. Medicom Global Healthcare facilitates several medical procedures in Ukraine and some other countries like Israel, Germany, Latvia, Hungary, and India.
