Stem Cell therapy is the use of either embryonic/fetal or adult stem cell to treat or prevent some disease conditions such as in neurodegerative diseases like Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson Disease and even others like Diabetes Melitus, heart disorders and in tumors as seen in the treatment of Leukamias (Cancer of blood cells).
It is still a very controversial treatment and in some climes, it is banned entirely due to the issues of ethics that surround the procedure.
Ukraine is one of the few countries that Stem Cell Therapy is still legal. About 20 years ago in this former soviet country, Doctors and scientists developed several methods of safely transplanting pleuripotent stem cells which have a high tendency to multiply and regenerate thereby replacing degenerating cells in the diseased tissues or organs.
