Hundertwasserhaus
Ah, the Hundertwasserhaus in Vienna is a true architectural gem that stands out like a peacock in a sea of pigeons. The colourful masterpiece, which was designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, is a visual feast for the eye.
If the Imperial-this and Habsburg-that is making you dizzy, take a short journey out to the Hundertwasserhaus for some colourful rebalancing.
But don’t be fooled, my friends, for this is no ordinary museum or gallery. It is, in fact, an ordinary apartment building! Yes, you heard that right.
Built between 1983 and 1985, this extraordinary structure is home to many lucky residents who get to experience the magic of living in a work of art.
Forget about straight lines and rectangles. The Hundertwasserhaus is a mosaic of shapes, colours, and pillars in the style of the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
But wait, there’s more! Just a stone’s throw away from the Hundertwasser House is the Kunst Haus Wien, another architectural marvel designed by none other than Hundertwasser himself
